Is Voip Right for your Business?

Is VoIP right for your business?
Before jumping right into a business VoIP solution, it’s best to look at your company and its needs. Consider the following statements;
- My company has a reliable high speed internet connection and would like to lower phone bills.
- We make expensive long distance phone or international calls and want to minimise costs.
- I need flexibility to grow or reduce users without incurring significant cost.
- I want flexibility to move my phone service, while keeping my phone number, without additional fees.
- I like the convenience of taking my phone number with me as I travel.
- My business needs basic phone service features such as extension dialling, choice of area code, voicemail, caller ID and more.
- I would like to have a call history of inbound and outbound calls.
- My business needs the power of big company call management features without the high cost of their phone systems such as conference calling, call recording, and voicemail to email notifications.
- My business needs an auto attendant/IVR system to answer and route calls.
- We don’t have an IT person to manage an intricate phone system.
Before we provide a full quotation for your VoIP phone system, we will need to check the performance of your existing ADSL line to ensure it is suitable for a VoIP. In most cases we will recommend a new dedicated ADSL line is installed.
Other considerations we will need to take and questions:
- Do you know your existing call costs/rental etc?
- How many handsets do you require in total?
- How many phone numbers do you have?
- How many lines would one person need to handle?
- Are there any numbers that go direct to specific users?
- Is your current system Analogue or ISDN?
- Do you have a separate fax that you want to include?
- Do you have an existing Analogue line that we can put ADSL/VoIP on?
- Would you like failover to ISDN/Analogue/3G/Mobile?
- Do you have any users in remote offices or at home?
- Do you call international numbers regularly?
- Do you call mobiles regularly?
- Do users require headsets?
- Phones can be powered by POE or by mains plug, is POE required?
- Phones will work through existing CAT5, is that ok or is separate cabling required?
