Hackers are now attacking Window users
In light of everything that is gong on with the increase of cases of COVID-19 the hackers still have nothing better to do.
Microsoft have said that attackers are now exploiting a previous undisclosed security which is found in all supported versions of windows, this is including windows 10. The bad news is there is no patch for the vulnerability.
The bug can be exploited by tricking the user / victim into opening a malicious document. Once the document has been opened or viewed in Windows preview the attacker can then remotely run malware, such as ransomware.
This attack has been deemed critical from Microsoft.
Microsoft are doing the best they can to resolve this bug within windows, however they haven’t got a current fix at the moment in time.
We are advising our windows customers that if you receive any suspicious documents don’t open the and don’t preview them as this it he hackers way of getting the malicious malware on the device.
